Hey friend, I was having a discussion with Ted the other day and he brought up Teddy Bridgewater, who is an NFL quarterback. If you don’t know who he is, then you’ve probably been living under a rock. Anyway, I thought it’d be interesting to take a closer look at where Bridgewater has played throughout his NFL career.
It all started for Bridgewater in 2014, when he was drafted in the first round of the NFL draft by the Minnesota Vikings. That same year, he assumed the starting quarterback position and cheap jerseys he absolutely flourished. He posted a record of 11-5, which was the best of his rookie year! He was voted to the Pro Bowl and earned himself a spot on many fantasy football teams throughout the country.
2015 marked Bridgewater’s second season in the league and it proved to be just as successful as his rookie year. He led the Vikings to a division title and was even nominated for the MVP award. While injuries marred his stats the following year, he still managed to throw the ball for almost 3,000 yards and 14 touchdowns and carry his team to the playoffs.
Bridgewater seemed to have found a home in Minnesota, but an ACL tear in 2016 abruptly ended his season and his time with the Vikings. After missing out on nearly two full NFL seasons, Bridgewater was traded to the New York Jets in 2018. While he was hopeful to reclaim the Pro Bowl status he was known for, his final season with the Jets proved to be a flop.
Just as it seemed his NFL run was coming to an end, the Saints picked up Bridgewater in 2019. Talking about a comeback! He posted a 5-0 record as a starter, filling in for an injured Drew Brees and leading the Saints to a 13-3 record. Bridgewater was a much-needed success story for the 2019 season and it earned him his first ever playoff win last year.
Currently, Bridgewater is back with the Saints as a starter and it looks like he’s only getting better. His performance this season has been stellar, and it’s clear that his time in the NFL is far from over. Teddy Bridgewater has many more years of football ahead of him and I’m sure we’re all hopeful for what’s to come next!
When I think about Bridgewater’s career, I’m amazed by the resilience and strength he’s demonstrated in the face of adversity. From his rookie year with the Vikings to his current tenure on the Saints, it’s been quite the ride. I just can’t believe how much he’s been able to accomplish in his NFL career, it’s no wonder why his name is so well known.
Bridgewater’s resilience and dedication should be an inspiration to us all. His inspiring journey should be a lesson for us to never give up when things get tough. If he can weather the storm and come out on top, then anything is possible.
