It’s finally happened! The NFL has finally decided to make its annual draft extra special by bringing it to Las Vegas for the first time ever. This year’s draft will be held April 23rd through April 25th, 2020. I’m absolutely ecstatic, as Vegas is my second home. The opportunity to experience football’s biggest scouting week in Sin City is one I wouldn’t miss for the world.
The Las Vegas draft experience is going to be unique, yet familiar at the same time — a definite surreal feeling. Draft activities will take place in multiple locations, including the Bellagio Hotel, the Fremont Street Experience, as well as the brand-new Las Vegas Convention Center.
Seeing as the draft is taking place in Sin City, I’m sure there will be a plethora of after-hours entertainment to meet every fan’s taste. With this being the case, I can’t help but be filled with anticipation for what the weekend has in store. In addition, I’m sure I’m not the only one who can’t wait to experience the bright lights, casinos and world-class restaurants that Las Vegas has to offer.
The draft is always an exciting time for football fans, but I think it’s fair to say that having it in Las Vegas will inject an extra level of enthusiasm into this year’s proceedings. There’s something about the energy in Vegas that is infectious and I’m sure thousands of people will be flocking to the strip that weekend to join in on the festivities.

The Raiders are in a very awkward situation, as this year will be their last draft pick in Oakland, yet their first draft picks in Las Vegas. Needless to say there will be a lot of focus on the Raiders, and likely more speculation than usual for their picks.
The Raiders have two amazing talents in Antonio Brown and Derek Carr and a young, dynamic roster, so the anticipation for who they might select next will be at a fever pitch. Last year’s draft class was amazing for the Raiders, and this year’s could be even better.

Televised events featuring NFL superstars, appearances by team mascots, and activities for the youngest of fans – these are only some of the festivities expected during the whole weekend.
