It takes a lot for someone to come out publicly, and to take a stand for what they believe in. If you look at it that way, then it’s a lot like fighting a battle that they can’t escape. When they are eventually accepted and celebrated, rather than being pushed into a corner, what an amazing feeling it must be for them.
We should all take comfort in knowing that the more people can express their truth, the more others will feel comfortable in being themselves.
