My friend, you know how much I love football, but there’s one thing I’ve never really understood and that’s the lack of Asian presence in the NFL. I guess it’s my background as a multiracial Asian-American that’s made me curious about why there are so few Asian players in the NFL. You know, the saying goes, you need to be twice as good just to make it in the NFL, so for a long time I had assumed that there might not be that many Asian players who were able to keep up with the competition.
But then, recently, I started to think, what if there is an Asian NFL player out there? What if I’m just not looking in the right places? After doing some research, I was surprised to find that there are actually a handful of Asian-American players in the NFL. These include Kang Jin Lee, Koa Misi, and Lofa Tatupu to name a few. Even though they don’t usually get the same publicity as the more well-known stars of the game, I’m encouraged by their presence on the field and I’m sure that many Asian-American kids can look up to them and say, “Hey, if they can do it, so can I.”
The more I think about it, the more I realize that there are plenty of Asian NFL players out there, they just don’t get the recognition they deserve. Sure, there aren’t any superstars yet, but I’m sure that if given the chance, there are plenty of Asians who could make it in the big leagues. It might take more hard work, but there’s no reason why Asians shouldn’t be able to compete with the best of the best.
And Cheap Jerseys free shipping it’s not just about pushing Asians to be better; it’s also about showing that Asians can be just as successful as anyone else. It’s about proving that Asian Americans, or any Americans for that matter, can achieve their dreams no matter their ethnicity. That’s such an inspiring message that I can’t help but be motivated by the idea of an Asian NFL player.
On top of that, I think it’s cool to think that Asian Americans can share the spotlight with the superstars of the NFL. It’s so exciting to see our culture represented on a big stage, especially when it comes to athletics. A few Asians in the NFL will make a huge difference in giving young Asian kids a positive role model to look up to.
With everything I’ve been learning, I’m beginning to think that, as far as Asian NFL players go, the sky is the limit! What do you think? Are there any other Asian NFL hopefuls that I should keep my eye on?
In the next 4 sections I’ll be talking about the impact of Asians in the NFL, the history behind the lack of Asian players, the struggles that Asian players face, and Cheap Jerseys free shipping steps that can be taken to encourage more Asian NFL players.
As far as impact goes, I think there’s a lot to be said about the presence of Asian players in the NFL. We all know that sports have immense power to unite us, and having more Asian players in the game gives us a chance to show how diverse American culture can be. The impact of seeing and being represented on the football field brings a sense of pride and accomplishment to many young Asian Americans, showing that anything is possible.
As for the history, it’s tough to pinpoint why there hasn’t been many Asian players in the NFL until recently. Some suggest it has to do with a lack of resources available to Asian and Asian-American athletes, while others point to stereotypes and fear of ridicule that surrounds Asian players. It’s hard to determine what the main causes are, but it’s clear that much has been done to discourage Asian players from entering the NFL.
Struggles is a very real element to this story as well. Sadly, many athletes of Asian descent face racism and discrimination while trying to reach the NFL. There are many stories of Asian players being overlooked for their talent and not given a fair chance. All of this goes to show that there’s still a long way to go if we want Asian players to be accepted on a professional level.
Finally, there are things that we can do to help encourage more Asian NFL players. One of the most important things we can do is to provide more resources for Asian athletes – whether that means organizing youth teams or offering educational scholarships. We can also provide more visibility through media and press. Finally, we must be willing to listen and learn from the experiences of Asian players. When we come together to support Asian athletes, then they will be better equipped to make it in the NFL.
