I recently heard of a story about how much NHL players bench press, and it made me curious. I wanted to know everything I could about this topic, so I went straight to the source and asked some of the players themselves. I was shocked at how much power these athletes had.
For starters, players bench press two times their bodyweight. So, if a player weighs two hundred pounds, he or she would easily be able to bench press four hundred pounds. Some of the superstars can even bench press up to three times their body weight! In my estimation, I can’t even fathom how it would feel to be able to lift that much.
The players aren’t only lifting weights though, they are also performing strength and conditioning drills, like counting reps for pull-ups, push-ups, dips and squats. All of these drills help them generate power while maintaining their superior condition for the ice.
To add to the difficulty, the players are often performing these exercises on different surfaces, ranging from ice to sand to turf. Sure, there are limits within the gym, but it’s a whole other ball game when you try to lift a large force on an unstable surface. I learned this the hard way when attempting to lift weights that I probably should have left alone!
The players have to stay on top of their game to stay competitive in the nhl jerseys. They have to practice regularly, consume a healthy diet, and exercise consistently. It’s a very physical sport and all the players must be fit to endure the long days and travel schedules. Plus, they need to make sure their bodies are always ready to perform at their very best.
I remember seeing a recent interview where some of the players talked about how they changed up their training regiment before the season. In particular, they mentioned adding in plyometric exercises, such as box jumps, to their workouts. I could see how the explosive nature of these exercises could help these players on the ice.
In addition to their physical training, the players must also have the right mindset in order to perform at their peak. They need to believe in themselves and have faith in the process. That’s why players need to take the time to reset their mind and relax deeply in order to stay focused and perform at their best.
The cheap nhl jerseys is a gruelling sport and the players need to take it seriously in order to stay on top of their game. As I’ve learned through my own fitness journey, it’s not an easy ride to stay in shape. It takes dedication and hard work and the NHL players have put in the effort to get where they are.
What I can’t help but marvel at is the incredible power and strength the players have. Bench pressing two to three times your body weight is no small feat, and I’m sure it’s something the players work really hard for. The fact that they are able to lift these extremely heavy weights l with such ease and grace is absolutely inspiring.
These athletes are role models for many aspiring athletes out there and I’m sure they serve as a source of motivation for many aspiring power lifters. If these players can do it, so can anyone else with dedication, much like I learned from my experience.
So what’s the takeaway from this? To me, it’s all about putting in the work. No matter how hard the journey is, if you stay dedicated and don’t let your passion die, you can achieve anything – even bench pressing hundreds of pounds!
