As a football passionate, I can finally say that the year 2019 was a good one for the Louisiana State University (LSU) and its players. Last year, we had a really strong team. With such a talented roster, it’s no surprise that several players have already moved on to the National Football League (NFL).
I’m always amazed at how quickly these young men transition from college to the pros! It’s truly a testament to the strength of the LSU football program that so many players have gone on to the NFL this year. This year, eight players from LSU’s 2019 roster are already playing in the NFL!
Tremont Waters, the dynamic point guard, was taken by the Boston Celtics in the second round of the 2019 NBA draft. Shy Tuttle, the 6′ 2″ defensive tackle, was taken by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round of the draft. Garrett Brumfield, the 6′ 3″ Offensive Guard, was taken by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fourth round of the draft. Tight End Foster Moreau was taken by the Oakland Raiders in the forth round.
Defensive Tackle Ed Alexander was signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted rookie free agent. Linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson was taken by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first round of the draft. Quarterback Joe Burrow was taken by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the draft. Finally, Linebacker Devin White was taken by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the draft.
It’s really so inspiring and motivating to see how these eight players from my beloved LSU really made their mark in the league. It’s a great reflection on what we were able to accomplish last season. After all, it takes skill, determination, and hard work to make it to the NFL.
But with a great team, you must also have great coaches and trainers. I’m really happy to say that last season, LSU had the best coaching staff of any college team. They really did an incredible job of training the team and preparing them for wholesale jerseys from china the upcoming season.
The best part about having so many players from LSU in the NFL is that it makes it easier for the current players and incoming recruits to see what’s possible. Of course, they understand that playing college football is no small feat, but having so many players in the NFL from their team helps inspire them to push themselves and reach their goals.
